Hyppo at Home: Thanksgiving Poptails
To bring The Hyppo into your home we are launching our "Poptails" series! In this series, we have teamed up with one of our favorite local bartenders, Josue Romero also known as "The Garnish Guy," to create unique cocktail recipes with our pops for you to make under your own roof!
So whether you're sipping to celebrate, or gearing up for a day of congenial debate, one thing's for sure: A boozy fresh fruit poptail in hand can make Thanksgiving a whole lot better. Here are two poptail recipes sure to please the dinner table.
Caramel Bourbon & Sangria Plum Poptail Ingredients:
2 oz Bourbon
1/2 oz Montenegro Averno
1/4 oz Caramel Syrup
2 dashes of Plum Bitters
Preparation: Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass, fill with ice, stir for 20 seconds, strain into a rocks glass.
Garnish: Place Sangria Plum popsicle in glass in place of ice, add orange peel, and cinnamon stick.
Citrus Amaretto & Blackberry Clove Poptail Ingredients
1 1/2 oz Vodka
1/2 oz Amaretto
1/2 Orange Liqueur
5 Muddled Blackberries
3/4 oz Lemon Juice
1/4 oz Maple Syrup
2 dashes of Peychaud's Bitters
Preparation: Muddle blackberries in a cocktail shaker, combine remaining ingredients, fill with ice, shake vigorously, & double strain in a rocks glass filled with ice.
Garnish: Blackberry clove popsicle, mint, and three fresh blackberries in a bamboo stick.
